Unser Hotel ist ein Geheimtipp von Krems! Die Historie unseres Hauses geht auf das Jahr 1658 zurück. Fürst Metternich ließ damals den "Goldenen Engel" als Taverne des Schlosses Grafenegg erbauen. 1795 ging der Beherbergungsbetrieb in unseren Besitz über. Wir, die Familie Ehrenreich, führen den "Goldenen Engel" nunmehr bereits in der 7. Generation. So sehr wir uns der Tradition bewusst sind, so sehr sind wir Neuem gegenüber aufgeschlossen. Mit viel Einfühlungsvermögen haben wir unser Haus den heutigen Erfordernissen entsprechend umgebaut. Unser Ziel war es, das gesellschaftliche Flair des 17. Jahrhunderts mit den modernen Ansprüchen unserer Gäste zu verbinden. Die malerische Kremser Altstadt kann man leicht zu Fuß erreichen, denn sie liegt nur 200 Meter von unserem Hotel entfernt. Unsere Zimmer sind komfortabel ausgestattet mit Dusche, WC, Kabel TV, Radio und Telefon. Unser genussvolles Frühstücksbuffet bietet reichhaltige "Schmankerl", damit Sie gut in den Tag starten können. Nach einem anstrengendem Ausflug können Sie in unserem neu gestalteten Garten mit traumhaftem Blick auf Stift Göttweig oder in unserem romantischen Felsengarten verweilen. Für unsere Gäste bieten wir kostenlose Abholservices vom Bahnhof Krems oder von der Schiffsstation Krems-Stein. Unser Motto: "Des Hauses größte Ehre ist der Gäste Wiederkehren".
