A cycle path spanning more than 16 kilometres starts in Mödling, goes through the wonderful Rieden landscape of the Vienna Woods thermal region, passes tourist attractions like the regional wine shop in Thallern, the wine museum in Gumpoldskirchen and the Römertheme Baden, and finally reaches Bad Vöslau.
All the areas along this stretch house the thermal region’s typical wine taverns, where outstanding wines and regional delicacies can be savoured.

The Weingartenradweg doesn’t have any noteworthy inclines. Consisting largely of hard-surfaced paths, it runs along the grape vines and offers a marvellous view of the thermal region. From the links with the Thermenradweg (Eurovelo9) in Guntramsdorf and Bad Vöslau onwards, the entire route is consistently dotted with signs ‘Weingartenradweg’. The route alternates between normal cycle path stretches, agricultural roads, accompanying cycle paths and service roads.

Apart from a distance of 2 km, most of the route runs on freight routes on which there is a speed limit of 40 km/h for cars. Further parts of the route lead along narrow cycle paths on local roads, especially in the villages, which are at the same time the connecting paths to the Thermenreadweg (Eurovelo9).
Be sure to plan a visit to one of the many wine taverns along the way.
Finally, treat yourself to a visit to the Römertherme Baden or the thermal spa Bad Vöslau!
