Wachaubahn railway

he redesigned Wachaubahn railway, which is over 100 years old, has been running with a new schedule since 2012. It runs from Krems to Emmersdorf on weekends and public holidays, and there is a daily service during the summer. The track rises over an impressive line and offers the best views across the Wachau valley. Themed trains run on certain dates. On these event days, the train journey includes culinary specialities and expert travel guides.

New combi-tickets for “Rail and Boat” can now be purchased. You can use these for outbound travel by rail and return by boat, or vice versa.
