Get into the cable car and up to us on the Rax! The fresh, clear mountain air will do you good - no matter whether you prefer to hike the mountain pine fields of the Rax during your holiday, go snowshoeing on untouched trails in winter or simply make yourself comfortable on our terrace with coffee, homemade cake and a good book. And in the evening, when the setting sun makes the mountain peaks glow, the cosiest place in the house is by the fireplace.
Hiking and "Hüttenhüpfen" (hut hopping)
The mountain inn is the starting point for scenic hiking and snowshoe tours. The "Hüttenhüpfen" on the Rax plateau takes you to the Ottohaus and from there the popular routes continue to the Höllentalaussicht, the Neue Seehütte or the Habsburghaus. The variety of beginner tours and challenging routes makes the Rax a hiker's paradise for young and old.
